ABOUT THIS MAP

Every point tells a story of the campus landscape.

This explorer presents the bamboo points and ISU boundary supplied with the original map. Each point is an inventory record, which may represent a clump or observed location rather than one individual culm.

Common and scientific names are shown as recorded in the source data. Some names may need taxonomic review. The original inventory does not state its survey date or the units for average height and diameter, so those values are displayed without inferred units.

“No remark recorded” and blank counts mean no value was supplied; they do not imply a confirmed absence. Basemap imagery requires an internet connection.
